Discourse on technology in social education

For the last six years, CITE Journal Social Studies has published research and scholarship on social studies and technology including periodic commentaries on published articles. Given our success with the commentaries, we would like to extend our journal-related discourse to an even wider audience and will publish an editorial in CITE Journal Social Studies calling for more robust discourse on scholarly issues and published research in social studies. UNESCO to coordinate e-learning: SITE supports

With support from SITE I attended the UNESCO consultation on e-learning in October and I was present when we voted for UNESCO to become co-ordinators for this action line from the World Summit on the Information Society. The discussions raised many issues including the ciritical success factor of ICT teacher education – our focus! Hopefully we can advocate for more action e.g. through SITE’s OSDE award.
